NSD1082 How to filter attributes for friendlier GUI presentation
Fact
NordicEdge Identity Manager Standalone Edition
NordicEdge Identity Manager Web Edition
Situation
When displaying attributes content one may want a cleaner output.
This NSD is describing how this can be done with a few lines of code.
Code example is provided in this article.
NordicEdge policy manager must be available for setting policies.
In this scenario we will verify that every time a mail attribute is presented outside a tab it will be in lower case.
Solution
1. Start NordicEdge standard edition
2. Double click on the root of your LDAP directory.
3. In the policy manager tab click “Add manual policy”.
4. In the input filed type: “FILTER_ADDITIONAL_ATTRIBUTE_MAIL”. It is crucial that all characters are in upper case.
5. In the value input type: nsd.NSD1082,mailToLowerCase (zip file with source and binary is attached.) In your policy manager you should find your policy as shown below.
To change attribute from mail to any other just replace the “MAIL” part of the policy name and type the desired attribute name with capitals.
6. Download attached zip file and extract it. Copy the nsd folder containing binaries under %Identitymanager root% (on windows C:Program FilesNordicEdgeIDMgr).
For the web edition copy it under %identitymanagerroot%WEB-INFclasses.
Restart Identity manager.
